This will be a one day trip on the Homosassa River to snorkel with the Manatees. This is the time of year that they begin to leave the springs and head out to to the bay and coastal waters ( or not). Miss this one and you'll have to wait till next winter (in reality the manatees are in the river all year just in smaller numbers during the summer ). Meeting at Manatee Camp Ground (directions will follow) by 10:00 to board our pontoon boat and head up the river to the springs. We'll be stopping at one of the local riverside eaters for lunch. You can expect to have up to 5 hours on the river. Planning to be back at the dock about 3:00 or 4ish.
Bring your own gear for snorkeling, wet suite if you need one, towel and your own snacks.
Cost is only $20.00 per person and must be paid in advance.
