Manatee -end Trip!!!
The Homosassa River is wide, slow and very peaceful. We'll be staying at Riverside Resort. It's really just a motel on the river but a very nice motel. With one & two bedroom units all with kitchen, bath living room with a pull out couch and a small porch on the back and a pool. There will be a pontoon boat capable of carrying 12 people for us to use all weekend. This way we can go when and where we want. Found that having our own boat works best. Three restaurants are close at hand (walking distance, maybe 100')and many more on the river. You may want to bring breakfast, lunch and snack stuff. Their will be a cookout on Saturday night (weather permitting) so plan on a dish to share. A list of who's bringing what will keep us from being overwhelmed with baked beans. We'll BBQ some ribs and for lunch it will be burgers & dogs on the grill, of course you are free to dine at one of the many eateries, they have great food and the monkey island bar actually looks out over an island of monkeys. Fun to watch !
Early December to the end of April seems to be a very good time for this trip as the manatee are in the river by the hundreds, if you can't make this one, we will be doing another next year.

Cost is just 450.00 per couple includes room, and boat. There maybe a extra charge for fuel.
That's cheaper then you could stay in a motel, OOOPS, you are staying in a motel.
